The AI and Data Science Center of Excellence (CoE), predominantly based in Europe, comprises more than 160 specialists including data scientists, research analysts, MLOps engineers, ML architects, and LLM architects. The team covers the entire AI lifecycle, from initial problem framing through to deployment. In 2024, the CoE completed over 150 AI projects with a significant focus on Generative AI. SoftServe collaborates with leading technology providers, such as NVIDIA (as a 2024 Service Delivery Partner), Google Cloud, Amazon, and Microsoft, ensuring use of advanced tools and platforms. The company also leads the Gen AI Lab to foster innovation in Generative AI, with 2025 focusing on Agentic AI for autonomous, collaborative agent systems to solve complex challenges at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to communicate use cases, requirements, and expectations clearly.
• Lead engineering and data science teams through production lifecycle stages of ML systems.
• Collaborate closely with Data Science teams on strategies for operationalizing machine learning models.
• Partner with product teams to deliver and manage ML systems effectively.
• Develop and maintain complete production pipelines for ML solutions.
• Enhance ML software infrastructure covering CI/CD pipelines, data storage, cloud services, networking, security, and monitoring.
• Establish scalable monitoring for both data pipelines and machine learning models.
• Apply best practices from machine learning, MLOps, DevOps, and software engineering to operationalize AI solutions.
• Foster collaboration among data scientists, DevOps, and ML engineers to build infrastructure, define processes, and productize ML pipelines.
• Serve as a consultant across different projects, accommodating flexible working schedules.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Master's degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• Minimum of six years of pertinent experience in relevant roles.
• Proficient in Python programming and familiar with traditional data science and machine learning libraries and frameworks.
• Deep understanding of ML solutions, design patterns, and operational deployment.
• Experienced with AI/ML and data engineering tools within major cloud environments.
• Knowledgeable in establishing CI/CD/CT pipelines for ML workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Kubeflow, MLflow, or equivalent platforms.
• Competent in container technologies and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with Azure cloud services, including AI Studio, AI Search, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, and Cosmos DB.
• Experienced using the Databricks platform.
• Exposure to handling healthcare data is advantageous.
• Skilled in gathering requirements and project estimation.
• Experienced in designing and implementing feature stores.
• Familiar with the Hadoop ecosystem and Apache Spark.
• Knowledge of workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow.
• English proficiency at an upper-intermediate level adequate for day-to-day project communication.
