About the Role
Join a forward-thinking team dedicated to advancing transport infrastructure with innovative engineering solutions. We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer based in Hamilton to lead and deliver vital infrastructure projects across New Zealand. This role balances technical leadership, client relations, and mentoring within a well-established global consultancy renowned for collaboration and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, design, and oversee construction of intricate infrastructure projects from initial concept through completion.
- Manage project progress to meet quality, schedule, and budget objectives.
- Perform engineering inspections, interpret technical drawings and specifications, and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Coordinate contract and project management tasks including liaising with subcontractors and engaging with stakeholders.
- Provide mentorship to project teams, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
- Gather and analyze project data to support sound decision-making and ensure client satisfaction.
- Stay updated on engineering standards, best practices, and new technologies within the infrastructure sector.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Possesses 8 to 15 years of professional engineering experience, ideally progressing towards or holding Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing a wide variety of infrastructure projects.
- Exhibits a proactive, self-motivated approach with a commitment to career growth.
- Skilled at developing strong client relationships and identifying added value opportunities.
- Focuses on delivering high-quality outcomes through collaborative efforts with clients and teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, comfortable with engineering software and tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary environments.
- Eager to learn continuously, mentor colleagues, and contribute to a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
