Role Overview
The position is for a Java Developer who will take charge in designing, developing, and implementing scalable, high-performance microservices applications within the Java framework. The role involves working in an agile team focused on products supporting Financial Industry needs and Financial Supervision.
Key Duties
- Design and develop software solutions using waterfall or Agile methodologies.
- Investigate and resolve issues through scripting and SQL query development.
- Collaborate closely with Business and System Analysts to refine requirements, automate testing, and address bugs.
- Partner with deployment and DevOps teams to establish continuous integration, automated builds, and release processes.
- Provide production system support including participation in after-hours duty rotations.
- Participate in deploying applications across multiple environments.
Candidate Profile
- Strong knowledge and proven experience in delivering projects using waterfall and Agile workflows.
- Proficiency in Java and .NET development.
- Familiarity with automated testing techniques including unit, integration, functional testing, test driven development (TDD), and behaviour driven development (BDD).
- Expertise in build and packaging tools such as MSBuild, Maven, and Docker.
- Ability to diagnose complex problems related to system resources and application stack traces.
- Experience with designing and deploying systems emphasizing high availability, performance, and security, particularly in data center or hybrid cloud setups, is advantageous.
