We are seeking a Front End Developer to join our Colleague Digital tīma (team) based in Wellington. The position is hybrid, requiring at least three days per week onsite.

You will become part of a Technology team dedicated to 'Reimagining the banker experience and platforms to serve our customers brilliantly.' Our goal is to unify and simplify the colleague experience to make BNZ the premier workplace for bankers.

The successful candidate will contribute to developing a new platform for bankers to address customer needs. This platform employs target state technologies and emphasizes user-friendly, intuitive design. Candidate Attributes for Success

• Proven experience in delivering advanced front-end interfaces for enterprise applications.
• Advocacy for adopting leading development methodologies and collaboration with developers across teams.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, able to convey ideas and designs effectively to varied stakeholders.
• Ability to monitor and resolve production issues, maintaining system resilience and compliance with critical operational standards.

Technical Skills Required

• Proficiency with modern front-end technologies including React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Experience implementing front-end architectural patterns such as state management and API abstraction.
• Familiarity with contemporary testing frameworks.
• Hands-on experience deploying code through Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Preferred Additional Experience

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, with experience in Java Spring Boot and SQL being desirable.
• Understanding of micro-frontend architecture approaches.
• Exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS) management and configuration.
• Competence with testing tools such as Jest, React Testing Library (RTL), and Playwright.
