About the Role
Join nineDots.io in Dublin as a Founding Engineer and play a key role in transforming an advanced AdTech platform into an easy-to-use, AI-driven, self-service solution. The position involves substantial ownership over feature development, from initial ideas through to deployment and ongoing refinement. You will work closely with the founder and a seasoned engineering team to influence product design, architecture, and the engineering culture in a hybrid setting with three days onsite weekly.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end feature ownership, managing design, implementation, deployment, and iteration based on user feedback.
- Develop user-friendly configuration, reporting, and self-service tools that enhance platform accessibility.
- Integrate AI-assisted workflows to simplify complex technical processes smoothly.
- Extend platform integrations with advertising demand and supply partners.
- Collaborate directly with customers and publishers to address product and integration challenges.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical standards for the growing Dublin engineering team.
- Promote AI-native engineering practices by leveraging tools like Claude Code as integral development aids.
Candidate Profile
- A proven history of delivering high-quality production software.
- A proactive problem owner who thrives on ambiguity and incomplete specifications.
- User-focused approach considering the impact of features on end-users.
- Confident in making and communicating technical decisions.
- Familiarity with designing for high-throughput, low-latency systems.
- Experience actively using AI coding tools to enhance development efficiency.
- Preference for staying hands-on while influencing product and technical strategy.
- Additional experience in early-stage startups or distributed, high-volume systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of programmatic advertising technologies like RTB, OpenRTB, Prebid, or VAST is beneficial but not mandatory.
Compensation and Work Environment
The role offers a competitive salary ranging from €90,000 to €130,000 plus equity participation. The position is a hybrid arrangement based in Dublin, with three days required onsite each week.
