Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join our diverse and passionate team in Limerick, committed to advancing the world’s payments systems. The role involves designing and implementing methods, processes, and software to analyze and derive actionable insights from large, complex, unstructured datasets. You will partner closely with product and service teams to address analytical questions and drive enhancements in client services and products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create predictive models for customer behavior utilizing a range of statistical and machine learning techniques.
  • Manage moderately complex projects independently.
  • Conduct full-cycle model development including data definition, sampling, preprocessing, feature selection, generation, validation, and support for deployment.
  • Perform data validation, cleansing, exploratory analysis, and visualization on large datasets using various tools.
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers to develop and deploy advanced predictive models for financial applications.
  • Adhere to Risk Management protocols by identifying risks, implementing key controls, and participating in control testing relevant to responsibilities.
  • Comply with all company policies including the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree mandatory; PhD preferred in Statistical Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Computational Chemistry, or related disciplines.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in industry or a related field.
  • Competent in managing RAG pipelines and developing Agentic Processes securely and reliably.
  • Experience with agentic-based development is advantageous.
