Role Overview
The Design Data Management team within ADI’s Engineering Enablement group seeks a user-centered applications engineer dedicated to supporting internal users. This role requires a solid understanding of integrated circuit (IC) design workflows and data management, combined with enthusiasm for engaging with a broad user base. The team operates globally, focusing on delivering high-quality internal tools and services using modern software development principles and deploying on private and public cloud infrastructure, emphasizing robust support and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute actively within the development team to test and deliver robust data management software solutions.
- Design, test, and deploy scalable testing frameworks enabling developers to efficiently self-serve.
- Create and perform automated software tests, comprehensive test plans, and detailed documentation.
- Implement automation for reporting test pass and failure rates.
- Automate repetitive and routine tasks to reduce manual effort.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with programming languages such as Go, Python, TypeScript, Temporal, Perl, or other modern languages, along with their relevant testing and mocking tools.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, including agile methodologies, unit testing, code reviews, thorough documentation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Familiarity with at least one data management platform, for example, Perforce, Git, or Subversion.
- Preferred experience with testing frameworks such as Pytest and Playwright is highly valued.
- Practical experience using JIRA and JIRA Xray for issue tracking and test management.
- Understanding of container orchestration platforms like Docker Swarm, OpenShift, or Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience in CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.
- Proficiency with containerization tools including Docker and Podman.
- Comfortable working within Linux operating environments.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform is advantageous.
- Ability to collaborate, share knowledge, and work effectively across a globally distributed team.
- Strong analytical thinking, critical problem-solving, and excellent time management skills are essential.
Educational Background
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Electronic & Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
Experience
Candidates with over 4 years of semiconductor industry experience will have a distinct advantage.

Due to the nature of technical data access, some candidates may require export licensing approval from relevant U.S. government agencies, with exceptions for U.S. citizens, residents, and protected individuals.
