Role Overview

The Staff Digital IC Design Engineer will join a proficient team dedicated to developing advanced Optical Control ICs tailored for AI datacenters. This position involves multiple facets of digital IC development, including micro-architecture design, block- and chip-level implementation, and verification, collaborating closely with analog, mixed-signal, and system engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in the design and development of mixed-signal integrated circuit products.
  • Execute block-level and chip-level RTL design and implementation tasks.
  • Interpret algorithms to design digital signal processing blocks, transforming system and algorithmic requirements into reliable digital designs.
  • Establish digital architectures aligned with detailed product specifications.
  • Participate actively in verification at both block and chip levels.
  • Contribute to the creation of digital and mixed-signal testbenches at block and system levels.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possess a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Hold at least 3 years of practical experience in digital design within complex System on Chip (SoC) projects, consistent with senior-level roles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of digital logic design and its implementation.
  • Familiarity with digital verification techniques and associated tooling.
  • Experience or knowledge of AI-assisted design tools is advantageous.
  • Skills in scripting languages like Python, Perl, Tcl, or C Shell are preferred.
  • Exposure to mixed-signal design and verification processes is beneficial.
  • Demonstrates strong self-drive, results-focused attitude, and the ability to collaborate effectively in team settings.
  • Possesses solid problem-solving capabilities, initiative, and adaptability for fast-paced challenges.
  • Effective verbal and written communication in English.

Additional Information

Employment may require export licensing approval for access to technical data subject to U.S. government regulations, impacting non-U.S. citizens or non-protected individuals.

Travel Requirements: Approximately 10% travel expected.

Work Schedule: First shift, daytime hours.
