Job description
Job Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Integration Developer with deep hands-on knowledge in BankFusion Equation Core Banking and IBM i / AS400 (iSeries) technologies. The successful candidate will have a solid background in Equation development, configuration, customization, production support, core banking implementations, upgrades, migrations, and banking system integrations. Proficiency in IBM i programming languages and DB2/400 is essential. Experience in banking or financial institutions, especially within the GCC region, is highly valuable.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, customize, maintain, and enhance applications and modules within BankFusion Equation Core Banking.
- Carry out hands-on coding and configuration on IBM i / AS400 / iSeries platforms using RPGLE, CLLE, Free Format RPG, SQLRPGLE, and DB2/400.
- Configure Equation modules, charges, reporting tools, and application parameters in alignment with business requirements.
- Create and maintain Equation User Exits, APIs, Input Functions, and other customizations.
- Provide production-level support, troubleshoot critical incidents and defects promptly.
- Support End-of-Day operations for Equation in production and testing environments.
- Develop middleware components and facilitate third-party banking system integrations.
- Manage Equation version upgrades, migrations, patches, and related implementation tasks.
- Conduct account and data reconciliation between pre- and post-migration systems to ensure data integrity.
- Configure and maintain IBM MQ / MQ Series integration interacting with Equation.
- Develop and manage interfaces connecting ATM, SWIFT, MQ, and other external banking platforms.
- Extract, analyze, and produce reports from DB2/400 databases as per business needs.
- Analyze application defects and technical challenges and deploy effective corrective measures.
- Support testing efforts including UAT, system testing, regression testing, patching, releases, and production rollouts.
- Document technical specifications, workflows, and support procedures comprehensively.
- Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and other partners.
- Ensure all changes are handled with proper development, testing, release, and support methodology.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 13 years’ experience in IBM i / AS400 development, application support, and maintenance.
- Extensive practical experience working with the BankFusion Equation Core Banking platform.
- Proficiency in Equation module implementation, customization, and support.
- Strong expertise in RPGLE, CLLE, Free Format RPG, SQLRPGLE, and DB2/400 database operations.
- In-depth understanding of banking operations and core banking systems.
- Experience with Equation upgrades, migrations, and working in production environments.
- Familiarity with ATM, SWIFT, and IBM MQ / MQ Series banking interfaces.
- Prior work experience within banking or financial institutions preferred; GCC banking experience is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical fields is preferred.
Additional Technical Knowledge
- Experience working with Crystal Reports, Jira, Aldon, VSS.
- Middleware programming and supporting banking application integrations.
- Handling End-of-Day processing cycles and production incident management.
- Data reconciliation and migration validation expertise.
