Opportunity Overview

A client in Kitwe, Zambia is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Storekeeper to help manage inventory and support day-to-day operations. The role suits professionals who value accuracy, integrity, and well-organized stock control, and who can contribute to a productive workplace.

What You’ll Do

  • Accept incoming stock and materials, check them for accuracy and condition, and update records accordingly.
  • Keep inventory logs and stock registers current and reliable.
  • Track stock movement and alert management when items need replenishment.
  • Store, label, and arrange inventory in a proper and orderly manner.
  • Release spare parts, tools, and materials only according to approved procedures.
  • Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
  • Document all stock receipts, issues, and other movements.
  • Carry out routine stock counts and support scheduled inventory audits.
  • Report shortages, variances, damaged items, losses, and obsolete stock.
  • Help implement corrective actions to improve stock accuracy and control.
  • Keep the store area clean, secure, and well maintained.
  • Protect company inventory from theft, damage, spoilage, and unauthorized access.
  • Follow health, safety, and internal operating procedures at all times.
  • Work with procurement, workshop, and sales teams to confirm stock needs.
  • Support timely availability of spare parts and materials so business activities continue smoothly.

What We’re Looking For

  • Completion of Grade 12.
  • Previous experience in a similar storekeeping or inventory role, ideally within the auto spares sector.
  • Working knowledge of automotive spare parts and inventory management systems.
  • Strong skills in leadership, organization, and problem-solving.
  • Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking and record management.
  • Good communication and customer service abilities.
