About the Company

Nanobiosym is a forward-looking technology company working at the intersection of physics, nanotechnology, and biomedicine. Based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and founded by MIT/Harvard alumni, the company was recognized with the first X-Prize ever awarded for healthcare.

Role Overview

The team is looking for a front-end web developer who can create new web pages, enhance the corporate website, and support web applications. This position involves building and deploying front-end functionality, along with handling routine website upkeep.

Responsibilities

  • Develop clean, efficient, and testable code using sound web development practices.
  • Build website layouts and user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Connect front-end features with back-end services and databases.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand and refine technical requirements and specifications.
  • Partner with designers to bring visual concepts to life.
  • Prepare and update software documentation as needed.
  • Verify that new features work consistently across browsers.
  • Support the upkeep, growth, and scaling of the company website.
  • Stay informed about new technologies and industry developments and apply relevant improvements.
  • Build user interfaces that meet ADA accessibility standards.
  • Follow security practices for websites and web applications.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, web development, software development, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong fundamentals in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular.
  • Exposure to content management systems like WordPress or Joomla.
  • Hands-on UI/UX design experience.
  • Practical understanding of graphic design.
  • Knowledge of REST API development.
  • Familiarity with Agile and test-driven development practices.

Nice to Have

  • Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines and deploying web applications to servers.
  • Comfort using version control systems, especially Git with GitHub or GitLab.
  • Exposure to continuous integration tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, on-site position in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
