The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with health insurance offerings, benefit structures, regulatory adherence, and contract creation.

What you'll do

  • Prepare, review, and complete detailed regulatory submissions, contracts, and required plan materials for IFM products.
  • Confirm that filings align with state and federal rules, CMS guidelines, and internal compliance standards.
  • Interpret benefit designs and regulatory requirements to create accurate and compliant documentation.
  • Work closely with Legal, Compliance, Product, and Business teams to roll out regulatory updates and product modifications.
  • Check deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and quality, and support teammates with guidance when needed.
  • Help improve workflows, update templates, and refresh documentation to increase efficiency.
  • Handle several priorities at once and deliver work on time in a busy, deadline-driven setting.
  • Learn new systems, tools, and regulatory workflows quickly and adapt as needed.

Required background

  • A bachelor's degree or comparable professional experience.
  • At least 2 to 3+ years of experience in regulatory filings, contract drafting, or health insurance documentation.
  • Prior work supporting multi-product health plan filings and compliance activities.
  • Solid understanding of health plan products, benefit design, and state and federal insurance regulations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, document management platforms, and tools such as SERFF, SharePoint, and intake systems.
  • Strong skills in writing, editing, analysis, and research.
  • Ability to work on your own while balancing multiple assignments.

Preferred experience

  • Background supporting Individual & Family Markets (IFM) or ACA-related products.
  • Exposure to multiple health insurance product lines or regulatory jurisdictions.
  • Familiarity with HealthSpring or similar commercial health plan offerings.
  • Experience improving templates, documentation, automation, or regulatory workflows.
  • A strong team-oriented, problem-solving, and continuous-improvement mindset.
