Role Overview

This position is responsible for leading the quality control team, promoting strong collaboration, and ensuring that work is delivered to a consistently high standard. The role also supports the ongoing improvement of departmental processes and team performance.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Lead daily team activity in line with wider business goals.
  • Assign work appropriately and keep track of progress and priorities.
  • Encourage open communication and effective cooperation across the team.
  • Support the growth of team members through coaching and development.
  • Share updates on achievements, risks, and challenges with senior management.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Check raw materials, in-process samples, and final products to confirm they meet required specifications.
  • Support and verify analytical testing to ensure results are accurate, dependable, and compliant with regulations.
  • Examine laboratory findings and quality documentation to help drive product release decisions in a timely manner.
  • Handle out-of-specification investigations and follow through on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Oversee lab activities to ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain testing accuracy and data integrity by coordinating calibration of laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Plan and coordinate sample testing timelines so production schedules and quality needs are met.
  • Review lab records and procedures to keep the site ready for audits and inspections.

Qualification Requirements

The role calls for a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. A master’s degree is preferred, and a professional certificate in a related field is also an advantage.

Experience and Language Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required. English proficiency is mandatory, and Arabic proficiency is preferred.
