Job description

Role Overview

Nextech Group Limited is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to join its Technology Services function in Sheffield. This position is based at the company’s head office and includes travel to client locations throughout the UK when required.

You will report to the Senior Project Manager and oversee projects end to end, taking them from early planning and concept work through to final delivery. Success in the role means delivering to schedule, staying within budget, and meeting the required quality expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Direct Data and IT projects from the initial stage through to completion and handover.
  • Create, update, and track project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Identify risks and issues early, monitor progress closely, and escalate concerns when necessary.
  • Keep clients informed and build productive relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Make sure all outputs align with the agreed scope, quality standards, and commercial targets.
  • Provide regular updates and progress reports to the Senior Project Manager.

About You

  • Hands-on project delivery experience in Data, IT, or a comparable technical services setting.
  • A well-organised and methodical working style with the ability to juggle several priorities at once.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in managing stakeholders.
  • Good commercial judgement and financial awareness.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, drawings, and scopes of work.
  • A proactive, polished, and collaborative attitude.
  • Proven experience delivering projects and solutions into Retail and Hospitality environments.
  • Certification such as PRINCE2, Agile, Waterfall, or an equivalent methodology.
  • Working knowledge of networking, Wi-Fi, cabling infrastructure, and IT solutions.
  • Comfortable using O365 and project management tools such as Project, Asana, or Monday.com.

Additional Information

Salary is up to £47,000 plus a £4,000 car allowance. The role is based in Sheffield with travel across the UK to client sites as needed.
