About the Internship
We are seeking a Process Engineering Intern to support the analysis, documentation, and optimization of operational workflows across the company. Working closely with the operations team, the intern will identify inefficiencies, suggest enhancements to boost productivity, reduce turnaround times, and optimize resource usage.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine and document current operational procedures spanning multiple departments.
- Engage with process owners to comprehend current workflows and gather business requirements.
- Develop detailed process maps, flowcharts, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for crucial operational areas.
- Monitor daily operations to detect bottlenecks, delays, and areas for improvement.
- Analyze turnaround times at various stages and propose actionable improvements.
- Assess workload distribution and recommend line balancing methods to enhance efficiency.
- Collect and interpret operational data to identify trends and potential optimization avenues.
- Implement foundational operations research techniques such as capacity planning, queue analysis, and resource allocation optimization.
- Compile reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate process enhancement insights.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to execute and oversee recommended process changes.
