About the role

Oldtimer Motorcycles is a premium retailer of motorcycle gear, parts, and accessories, and it also serves as a regional distributor across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait. The company is hiring a Logistics & Accounts Administrator to oversee shipping paperwork, freight coordination, and the accuracy of logistics and accounting records. This position is a strong fit for someone with an accounting background who is comfortable working across import/export and shipping operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Draft and check shipping paperwork such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and other documents used for import and export.
  • Work closely with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, suppliers, and customers to keep shipments moving smoothly.
  • Make sure all logistics activity follows customs rules and import/export compliance requirements.
  • Assign the correct HS codes to products and keep the related classification records updated.
  • Track shipments from departure through to delivery and handle any logistics issues that arise.
  • Review freight-related charges and handle invoices connected to logistics services.
  • Support invoice matching and reconciliation while keeping accounting and logistics records accurate.
  • Prepare reports and assist with daily logistics coordination and support tasks.

Requirements

  • A background in accounting or previous accounting experience is essential.
  • Prior exposure to logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, or import/export work is required.
  • Solid understanding of commercial invoices, packing lists, customs documentation, and HS codes is necessary.
  • Knowledge of UAE customs procedures will be considered an advantage.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite is needed.
  • Strong attention to detail, along with good organisation and communication skills, is important.
