Job description

Role overview

An established global media company is looking for an IT Project Coordinator to join its technology team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Based in London, this role supports a busy portfolio of IT and business technology initiatives, helping ensure work is organised, monitored, and delivered effectively.

You will work alongside project managers, technical specialists, suppliers, and business partners, coordinating day-to-day project activity across multiple workstreams. The position suits someone who is highly organised, comfortable balancing several priorities, and confident communicating with a mix of technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with the full lifecycle delivery of IT and technology programmes across the business.
  • Keep project plans, schedules, RAID logs, action trackers, and core documentation current.
  • Coordinate activities across infrastructure, applications, digital, and business systems teams.
  • Arrange and run project meetings, workshops, steering committees, and stakeholder sessions.
  • Monitor milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, and dependencies, and escalate concerns promptly when needed.
  • Prepare regular progress updates and status reports for relevant stakeholders.
  • Support planning and coordination of resources across project teams.
  • Maintain governance standards and ensure project records are accurate and well managed.
  • Work with external vendors and technology partners to help move delivery forward.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and procurement-related tasks when required.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in project processes, reporting, and operational efficiency.

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in a Project Coordinator, IT Project Coordinator, PMO Analyst, Project Support Officer, or comparable position. Experience supporting technology-focused work such as infrastructure, software, digital, or business systems projects is important.

A good grasp of delivery approaches such as Agile, Waterfall, or blended methods is expected, along with strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage several priorities at once. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, as is confidence in producing documentation and status reporting.

You should be comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint, and have exposure to project delivery platforms such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, Monday.com, or Microsoft Project. Experience in a PMO or governance setting is beneficial, as is familiarity with IT infrastructure, cloud services, SaaS products, or enterprise applications.

Project management qualifications such as PRINCE2 Foundation, Agile Foundation, or an equivalent certification would be an advantage.

Benefits and offer

  • Annual salary of up to £45,000.
  • 12-month fixed-term contract.
  • Hybrid working arrangement in London.
  • Opportunity to join a well-known media business with a strong digital and technology focus.
  • Exposure to large-scale IT change and transformation work.
  • Collaborative and innovative team culture.
  • Strong opportunity to progress your project management career with a respected organisation.

Diversity and inclusion

The employer values an inclusive workplace and welcomes applications from candidates with varied backgrounds and experiences.
