It serves professional audiences in sectors such as automotive, risk and insurance, construction, industry, and retail with data-led products and technology services.
Within the Risk Global portfolio, Chartis Research brings focused expertise in risk technology research. The business is recognized for delivering analysis and advisory support on the global market for risk technology, with a strong emphasis on risk and compliance needs across major financial institutions.
Role overview
The GRC Research Analyst will help produce research and advisory work covering governance, risk, compliance, and cybersecurity technologies. The role combines market analysis, client engagement, thought leadership, and support for business growth across the global GRC landscape.
What you will do
- Help create and deliver research and advisory materials related to governance, risk, compliance, and cybersecurity technology markets.
- Work alongside Research Directors on research projects, including market studies, rankings, and custom reports.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with GRC vendors and end users.
- Partner with business development teams to support memberships and advisory sales opportunities.
- Take part in presentations, briefings, and conference-related activities.
- Track regulatory changes and industry movements through ongoing research and market engagement.

- Contribute to improving research processes, operations, and supporting infrastructure.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues on the research team when needed.
Requirements
The ideal candidate brings 2 to 3 years of experience in governance, risk, compliance, or a related technology/services environment. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area or equivalent professional experience is required, and a master’s degree would be an advantage.
You should already understand GRC technologies and solutions, along with the broader regulatory and compliance landscape. Strong research and analytical ability is essential, as is the confidence to explain complex ideas clearly in writing and speech.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, are important. You should also be comfortable handling several priorities at once in a busy, fast-moving setting. Good people skills, the ability to form professional relationships, and a curious, questioning mindset are also key.
