- Partner with the mechanical engineering team to improve airframe and control-surface layouts for better aerodynamic efficiency.
- Run aerodynamic and flight simulations and evaluate handling characteristics using computational engineering tools.
- Use tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, CFD software, and flight dynamics analysis platforms to support design work and optimisation.
- Prepare test plans and contribute to flight test programmes, including result review and model validation.
- Coordinate with the avionics team to integrate sensors and flight control systems for stronger performance and stability.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, or a related Engineering or Applied Physics qualification.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in flight dynamics modelling, stability and control analysis, and performance assessment.
- Strong grasp of aircraft, helicopter, and UAS design principles, systems, and aerodynamics.
- Practical experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and CFD tools such as ANSYS Fluent or SolidWorks Flow Simulation for flight mechanics work.
- Knowledge of Python or C++ would be an advantage.
- Understanding of flight testing methods and data analysis techniques.
- Awareness of aircraft and rotorcraft regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and explain technical findings clearly.
- Genuine interest in aviation and a desire to help shape the future of UAS technology.
