Job description

Role Overview

Goodstart Early Learning is looking for an Educator to join its Lavington centre in the Albury area of New South Wales. This is a full-time position offering 38 hours per week, with pay of up to $39.91 per hour plus superannuation and additional benefits.

What the Role Involves

In this position, you will work closely with Senior Educators and the Educational Leader to design and strengthen high-quality learning experiences for children. The focus is on creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child feels valued and can grow.

About the Centre

Goodstart Lavington is a welcoming service that can care for up to 90 children across nursery, toddler, and preschool rooms. The centre has a homelike atmosphere and has been part of the local community for more than 15 years. It is located in the beautiful Albury Wodonga region and provides varied, engaging, and thoughtfully designed activities for children aged six weeks to six years.

Benefits and Support

The position includes pay at least 5% above the award rate, a 50% discount on childcare gap fees, and paid parental leave. Additional benefits include paid professional development, two wellbeing days in personal leave each year, an optional free annual flu shot, the ability to buy extra leave, First Nations support and cultural leave, retail discounts across insurance, travel, and technology, a uniform allowance, and an employee referral program.

The Welcome Experience

The Welcome Experience is a free support service for essential workers and their families who are moving to or have recently moved within regional NSW. Local connectors can help with housing, schooling, childcare, partner job opportunities, and community connections. More information is available through the NSW government Welcome Experience resource.

Eligibility and Requirements

Applicants should hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent. You should also have a solid understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards, along with a current NSW Working with Children Check. Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.

Application and Workplace Commitment

Applications are reviewed as they are received, so early submission is recommended. Goodstart is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity, inclusion, and reconciliation. The organisation is committed to child safety, and all candidates must have or obtain a valid working with children check. For questions, the Talent Acquisition team can be contacted by phone or email.
