Role overview

Aljazira Bank is looking for a Debt Restructuring Manager to help shape and deliver the bank’s strategy for distressed debt portfolios. This role combines hybrid work, meaning time is split between office and remote work based on the arrangement set in the contract.

Strategic contribution

You will support the bank’s broader strategic direction and help translate departmental goals into practical action.

Core responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of restructuring approaches for portfolios under stress.
  • Review restructuring proposals and check that they fit the bank’s credit rules and risk limits.
  • Make sure all work follows internal procedures, regulatory expectations, and SAMA requirements.
  • Analyze the financial position of distressed clients to determine workable restructuring options.
  • Spot potential restructuring cases and negotiate repayment arrangements with customers.
  • Work closely with Corporate Credit, Risk, Legal, and Recovery teams to close cases efficiently.
  • Track restructuring plans on time and compare actual results with agreed conditions.
  • Prepare regular updates on portfolio health, key risks, and recovery performance.
  • Escalate major risks, challenges, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Help improve the bank’s restructuring policies, tools, and operating processes.

Qualifications and experience

A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related subject is preferred. Professional certifications such as CFE, CAMS, ICA, or an equivalent credential are also preferred. The role typically calls for about 5 years of experience, with preference given to candidates who have around 3 years in a relevant position. Background in debt restructuring, credit risk management, or a similar area is an added advantage.
