Job description
Role overview
We are seeking a bartender to join a leading UK hospitality group at its Edinburgh airport location. The position is focused on creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, preparing drinks to a high standard, and keeping the bar area organised and ready for service.
What the role involves
You will help create memorable guest experiences by greeting customers warmly, suggesting drinks, mixing and serving beverages, and ensuring the bar remains clean, stocked, and presentation-ready. Because this is a busy airport setting, you will also be expected to work closely with colleagues and step in wherever support is needed.
Working pattern
The role is based onsite in Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom. Airport operations can begin very early, with shifts starting as early as 3:00am. Early starts may also mean early finishes, and flexibility is important.
Who the employer is
The employer is The Restaurant Group (TRG), a hospitality business with around 300 restaurants and pubs across the UK, including brands such as wagamama and Barburrito. The company has more than 40 years of experience in hospitality and focuses on delivering standout guest experiences.
Requirements and eligibility
Because of alcohol licensing rules, applicants must be at least 18 years old. Candidates should also be able to provide a five-year history covering work, education, and personal references, and must be willing to complete a criminal record check. The role suits people who can stay positive in a busy airport environment, adapt to changing hours, and work well under pressure.
Benefits and perks
Benefits include free meals during shifts, discounts of up to 30% across all brands with no limit on the number of guests, and duty-free discounts excluding alcohol and cigarettes. Team members also get access to a discount platform for everyday savings, early access to earned wages through Wagestream, and strong training and development opportunities, including apprenticeships open to everyone.
Inclusion
The employer aims to maintain an inclusive workplace where different perspectives are valued. The organisation also describes itself as disability confident and supports candidates who may need adjustments during the application or interview process.
