Role Purpose
The primary goal of this role is to ensure all equipment, building infrastructure, plant, and related services remain fully operational to their original specifications, maintaining safety and cost-effectiveness at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute technical maintenance and repair tasks within the designated locality.
- Carry out administrative duties associated with the technical function.
- Identify potential technical hazards and implement risk mitigation actions.
- Supervise and coordinate the efforts of onsite contractors within the locality.
- Maintain effective relationships with clients and other stakeholders involved in the technical function.
Educational & Certification Requirements
Minimum education required is Grade 10 or an equivalent technical vocational qualification, although Grade 12 is preferable. Essential certification includes holding a valid driver's license. Completion of the Mediclinic Technical Assistant Development Programme is a desirable additional certification.
Experience Required
Applicants must have at least five years of skilled experience in building maintenance and repairs or be qualified through the Mediclinic Technical Assistant Development Programme.
Skills and Knowledge
- Expertise in building maintenance challenges and solutions.
- Proficient fault diagnosis and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to conduct planned maintenance compliant with Mediclinic standards.
- Knowledge of occupational safety, health, and environmental standards, including OHS and ISO guidelines.
- Ability to interpret layout plans and technical diagrams.
- Competency in general equipment repairs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
