Your Role

Within the Sodatone team, you will contribute to building a cutting-edge analytics platform utilizing artificial intelligence and machine learning to discover and assess emerging musical talents. By leveraging data from streaming services, social media, and other channels, our platform assists A&R teams in spotting trends and making informed talent decisions. Past successes include identifying artists such as CYRIL and Teddy Swims.

You will collaborate with a dynamic team, taking ownership of features through the full development lifecycle: designing, building, testing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, high-quality solutions that support our growth.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with a minimum of four years of experience in backend or full-stack development.
• Proficiency in navigating the web with inventive methods to reliably gather and integrate data from diverse sources.
• Strong debugging capabilities complemented by knowledge of testing frameworks, system monitoring, and incident management.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar large-scale cloud environments.
• Experience developing APIs, backend services, databases, data pipelines, and data warehousing solutions.
• High ownership mindset and ability to excel in fast-changing, ambiguous environments.
• A continuous learner eager to enhance software development expertise.
• Exposure to technologies such as Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, Snowflake, TypeScript, React, React Native, and AWS is advantageous but not mandatory.

Compensation

This role offers a base salary between $90,000 and $135,000 CAD annually along with eligibility for a performance-based bonus.
