Job description
Overview
This role entails designing, coding, unit testing, and developing high-performance scalable software solutions that support millions of Walmart International customers, particularly in supply chain management and enhancing customer experiences.
About The Team
The team partners with Walmart International's extensive global retail operations with over 5,900 stores across 26 countries, including markets such as Africa, Argentina, Canada, China, India, Japan, and Mexico.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, implement, test, and deploy innovative scalable software impacting millions globally.
- Collaborate with Walmart engineering teams worldwide to share knowledge and contribute to the engineering community.
- Work closely with Product Management and Business teams to prioritize and deliver impactful product features ahead of market demands.
- Evaluate and integrate open source tools through research, proof-of-concept, and community engagement.
- Contribute to customer analytics features at significant scale.
- Deploy and monitor applications on cloud infrastructure.
- Develop monitoring processes ensuring data applications meet service-level agreements.
Candidate Profile
- 6-10 years of experience in web application development.
- Proven expertise in constructing robust enterprise web applications.
- Strong skills in frontend technologies including React.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Comprehensive experience in full stack development using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, RESTful services, and API frameworks.
- Passion for crafting user-centric, intuitive web applications to address complex challenges.
- Hands-on technical proficiency with a demonstrated ability to mentor high-caliber technical professionals.
- Experience working in globally distributed teams with excellent interpersonal and negotiation capabilities.
- Experience in retail domain is a significant advantage.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields plus at least 3 years of relevant software engineering experience at technology, retail, or data-centric companies;
- Or alternatively, 5 years of experience in software engineering roles in relevant industries.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as Security+, GISF, CISSP, CCSP, or GSEC;
- Master’s degree in related fields coupled with at least one year leading cybersecurity projects;
- CISCO Information Technology certification is a plus.
