Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to architect and manage security controls throughout our cloud infrastructure. This role merges comprehensive cloud knowledge with security engineering expertise to develop protective architectures and address security incidents effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and enforce security controls in cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Develop and uphold detection systems, alert mechanisms, and incident response procedures.
• Lead security reviews and threat modeling for new cloud service designs.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security measures, secrets management, and identity management controls.
• Handle security incidents and conduct thorough post-incident analyses.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security practices early in the development lifecycle.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Over five years of experience in security engineering with a focus on cloud environments.
• Advanced knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Practical expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) solutions, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms.
• Proficient scripting skills in Python or Go and automation of security processes.
• Familiarity with compliance standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and PCI.
• Industry certifications like CISSP, AWS Security, or GCP Security are advantageous.
