Internship Overview
We invite highly motivated individuals to participate in our 10-week Summer internship program located at our Albany, Auckland site. This hands-on opportunity spans software, electrical, computer vision, AI, and machine learning projects. Interns will engage directly with experienced engineers, helping to transform concepts into tangible products focused on cutting-edge video, AI, and imaging technologies, supporting our mission to "Protect What Matters Most." Our tech-driven workplace balances the perks of a large global corporation and a nimble New Zealand firm, featuring free snacks, premium coffee, and weekly social events.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, evaluate, and train state-of-the-art edge-based AI video models tailored for home safety and security.
- Implement and refine AI models that assimilate technical knowledge bases to create proof-of-concept technologies for future research and development.
- Develop prototype solar/battery-powered camera systems for deployment in locations without access to power sources.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be current students or have recently completed undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications at NZQA levels 6-10, with completion within the last 12 months.
- Their academic background should be in science, technology, engineering, design, or business from a New Zealand tertiary institution.
- Applicants must not have held any full-time or part-time permanent positions previously at Resideo, though temporary short-term employment is allowed.
