Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior C++ Software Engineer to join a dynamic FinTech team in Ireland on a fully remote basis. This role is ideal for an individual deeply experienced in C++ and SQL, passionate about coding, eager to tackle intricate technical challenges, and develop high-performance, scalable platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain critical software components for a live payments platform processing thousands of financial transactions.
• Design and implement reliable, scalable systems ensuring robustness in payment infrastructure.
• Employ multithreaded programming techniques to optimize performance.
• Work extensively with RESTful APIs and relational databases to drive system integration and data management.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of six years of practical experience in commercial C/C++ development.
• Proven proficiency in writing hands-on code and delivering technical solutions.
• Strong understanding and use of SQL and relational database systems.
• Additional experience in Golang, PHP, or Python is advantageous, though not mandatory.
