About LEAP Legal Software
LEAP Legal Software, powered by LEAP Dev, is a global leader in Legal Practice Management Solutions, serving over 70,000 legal professionals worldwide. As part of ATI Global, we have over three decades of innovation dedicated to enhancing productivity tools tailored for lawyers and their teams. Our community includes more than 1000 passionate professionals working across multiple countries.
Team and Role Overview
You will join the Platform Security team focused on safeguarding our products and the sensitive client data entrusted to us by legal firms. Unlike traditional security teams, we build protective systems and software rather than just managing tools and policies. This role involves developing the secure foundations of our software products and empowering engineers to adopt secure practices seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and deploy security features within LEAP products, managing them from initial design through launch and sustained support.
- Develop internal software and automation tools to enhance the security team’s effectiveness in identifying and managing risks.
- Collaborate closely with product and platform engineering teams to determine security priorities and ensure effective incorporation of security measures.
- Produce clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code that other engineers can confidently use.
- Integrate security considerations into early design discussions to influence project directions with minimal cost of change.
- Evaluate build versus buy decisions for security solutions to optimize resource use.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of five years' experience building and maintaining production software with ownership of deployed solutions.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C#, TypeScript, Python, or Go, with the aptitude to learn additional languages as needed.
- Understanding of common web application vulnerabilities and design strategies to mitigate them.
- Experience with AWS cloud services.
- Ability to balance security controls against usability friction and effectively communicate these decisions to engineering peers.
- Skilled at influencing and collaborating with teams outside of direct reporting lines to drive secure development practices.
Additional knowledge areas welcomed but not required, as training will be provided:
- Multi-tenant SaaS architectures, particularly tenant isolation vulnerabilities.
- Security challenges specific to AI and large language model applications.
- Infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipeline security, and containerization security practices.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
Our Commitment and Culture
LEAP fosters an inclusive, people-centered culture dedicated to breaking down barriers for career growth. We welcome applicants even if they do not meet every qualification perfectly.
Why Work With Us?

- Extensive wellbeing benefits including an annual wellbeing day, complimentary gym access, dental plan, and on-site weekly massage services.
- A modern office equipped with catered meals, stocked kitchens, and barista services.
