About the Role
An IT consultancy firm is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join their team in Singapore. This position involves building and maintaining scalable data infrastructure to support business analytics and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage scalable systems including databases, data warehouses, and processing frameworks.
- Create data pipelines for modeling, mining, and production environments to facilitate analytic and business processes.
- Prepare and clean raw data using programming tools to support both descriptive and predictive analysis.
- Enhance data quality, reliability, and processing efficiency by implementing strategic system improvements.
- Organize data cataloging and asset management practices for streamlined storage, access, and retrieval; optimize SQL query performance.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- More than three years of experience in data architecture, warehousing, modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and streaming technologies.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes-driven DevOps, container orchestration, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and microservices deployment.
- Expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development; foundational knowledge of Oracle database architecture.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, EMR, Redshift, Athena, and Kinesis.
- Strong programming capabilities in Python, R, and SQL; familiarity with Java, Apache Spark, Hive, and Airflow.
- Practical knowledge in data crawling, data modeling, lake formation, constructing data warehouses, and deploying machine learning solutions.
