Senior Software Engineer, ML Infrastructure

About the Role

Join a pioneering team dedicated to building the core infrastructure that supports Machine Learning Engineers in advancing next-generation autonomous driving technology. You will focus on designing and operating robust, large-scale, high-performance systems that manage petabytes of vehicle data, execute extensive simulations, and train complex ML models. This role emphasizes software engineering with a focus on creating resilient platforms rather than site reliability engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and deploy essential components of our ML infrastructure platform leveraging Kubernetes.
• Create scalable and reliable services that encompass the entire machine learning lifecycle including data ingestion, processing, training, and evaluation.
• Produce well-crafted, maintainable software for systems handling extremely high data throughput.
• Take full ownership of features and systems, guiding them from initial design phases through to live production and ongoing operation.

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Practical expertise in developing and deploying applications on Kubernetes platforms.
• Experience working with high-scale infrastructure or distributed backend systems.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or comparable languages.
• Hands-on knowledge of major cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
• Demonstrated ownership mindset and enthusiasm for delivering quality software.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ray framework for distributed computing, specifically Ray Data and Ray Train modules.
• Familiarity with GPU orchestration and management technologies, including warm pool management, advanced scheduling, or specific GPU frameworks.
