Job description
Role Summary
This cleaning position offers an hourly wage of £13.45 - £13.65 for a 25-hour weekly contract starting at 5am. Employees receive 30-35 days of holiday annually (pro-rated), a 10% discount in-store, and access to a pension plan. Additional pay includes £2.00 extra per hour for bank holiday work and £3.50 per hour for night shifts. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the store to high standards.
- Keep trolley bays, car parks, and outdoor areas neat and tidy to create a positive first impression.
- Operate industrial cleaning machines confidently and safely.
- Clean employee welfare facilities including toilets, waste, and recycling zones.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks as required.
- Ensure hygiene as well as health and safety protocols are consistently observed.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience in cleaning or maintenance is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
- Motivation to deliver excellent cleaning results for the store and co-workers.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
