Job description
About the Role
We are searching for a UX/UI Designer who is not just about making screens look pretty, but someone focused on driving more sales and enhancing user experience. At LAMAT, we combine technology with marketing, boasting more than 2,000 services and a client base actively browsing, searching, and ordering. We want a designer who questions every click a user makes on our platform, aiming to reduce unnecessary interactions that might cause customers to leave.
Key Responsibilities
Your role involves rethinking the entire customer journey from the moment a user lands on LAMAT till they place their order. You'll research, inquire, experiment, simplify, design, and measure to decrease steps and clicks, improve the user journey, increase conversion rates, and truly build a mobile-first experience.
Design Philosophy
Design decisions should be data-driven and based on user behavior rather than personal preference or aesthetics. We believe users seldom complain about bad UX—they simply exit, and that's where your role begins.
Portfolio & Communication
We expect a portfolio that impresses the team and, more importantly, the ability to explain the reasoning behind your design choices, not just showing what was designed.
Ideal Candidate
If you're the type who looks at seven steps and says "Why not reduce it to three?" then you are the candidate we want.
Work Setup
This is an onsite part-time position based in Saudi Arabia.
Additional Task
To stand out from others, we encourage you to visit LAMAT, pick one UX element that irritates you, and tell us how you would fix it. This might be your first task even before joining.
