Job Overview

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing airport maintenance operations to guarantee that facilities, systems, and infrastructure function at peak efficiency. This includes coordinating maintenance activities, supervising personnel, enforcing safety standards, and managing resources judiciously.

Key Responsibilities

• Track generator operations weekly and monthly, overseeing generators and automatic transfer switches (ATS).
• Monitor monthly testing schedules for mechanical systems such as water treatment, sewage, conveyor belts, elevators, escalators, firefighting, and gas detection systems.
• Prepare to respond promptly to service interruptions affecting power, water supply, and airport operations continuity.
• Ensure all specialized tools and testing equipment for electrical and electronic maintenance are available and maintained.
• Conduct routine audits and inspections to maintain adherence to established standards and procedures.
• Oversee airport facility maintenance activities and ensure timely execution.
• Create and manage cleaning schedules and detailed plans delineating cleaning tasks per area.
• Maintain inventories for cleaning supplies, chemicals, equipment, and consumables and enforce preventive maintenance for cleaning machinery.
• Generate monthly reports reviewing supplies of consumable and non-recoverable items to support maintenance operations and inspect newly installed systems.
• Inspect maintenance warehouses for spare parts storage condition, focusing on critical system components.
• Supervise inventory management of recoverable spare parts owned by the Second Airports Cluster Company.
• Evaluate and authorize work permits for planned or emergency maintenance, repairs, renovations, or construction within airport facilities.
• Coordinate permit-related documentation with contractors and submit requests to relevant departments.
• Collaborate with airport staff, security, and air traffic control regarding scheduled maintenance and its effect on airport operations.
• Monitor and control HVAC, lighting, and other energy systems using the Building Management System (BMS).
• Develop and update spatial data including floor plans, layouts, and site maps through Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
• Design, modify, and optimize facility spaces; monitor occupancy and plan reconfigurations.
• Provide maintenance-related information to support project upgrades as required.

Employee Development and Administration

• Supervise and develop the maintenance team by setting objectives, identifying training needs, and assessing outcomes.
• Ensure efficient task execution by guiding teams and promoting effective performance.
• Foster a collaborative and positive workplace culture.
• Enforce policies related to cargo development and airport operations.
• Prepare concise reports for the Airport Manager to facilitate improvement initiatives.
• Conduct regular meetings with subordinates to review work progress, discuss challenges, gather feedback, and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related discipline.
• Possess at least seven years of relevant professional experience.
• Excellent command of both Arabic and English languages is required.
