React Developer

About the Role

Create & Collab is seeking a motivated and creative React Developer to join their expanding software engineering team based in Sydney. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain cutting-edge web apps leveraging React.
• Create responsive, reusable, and scalable UI components to enhance user experience.
• Transform UI/UX designs and wireframes into fully functional web interfaces.
• Implement interactive, user-friendly frontend features.
• Integrate frontend components with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Manage the application state effectively using appropriate solutions.
• Optimize frontend performance while ensuring responsiveness, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Produce clean, maintainable, documented code.
• Identify and fix frontend bugs and performance bottlenecks.
• Develop and sustain unit, integration, and automated tests for the frontend.
• Participate in peer code reviews and adhere to current software development standards.
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, full stack developers, QA engineers, and product managers.
• Support deployment processes and continuous integration/continuous deployment workflows.
• Maintain technical documentation and uphold frontend development best practices.
• Stay current with new React libraries, frameworks, and frontend technologies through research and evaluation.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related fields preferred.
• Prior experience in React or frontend development is advantageous.
• Fresh graduates with relevant projects, internships, or strong portfolios are welcome to apply.
• Solid grasp of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Practical experience with React and contemporary React development methodologies.
• Understanding of React Hooks, component-based architecture, state management, and reusable components.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, authentication, and asynchronous programming techniques.
• Experience with Git and version control workflows.
• Familiarity with technologies like Next.js, Redux, React Query, and Tailwind CSS is a plus.
• Awareness of responsive web design, browser compatibility issues, and accessibility standards.
• Basic knowledge of frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright is beneficial.
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and cloud deployment platforms is desirable.
• Strong analytical skills, debugging ability, and problem-solving aptitude.
• Meticulous attention to detail and dedication to UI quality.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
