Customer Delivery Driver - Crewe Extra

Overview

As a Customer Delivery Driver for Tesco based in Crewe, you will represent the company while delivering groceries directly to customers' homes. Beyond just driving, this role focuses on providing excellent customer service, handling products carefully, and maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude during each delivery. Your shifts will be varied and largely autonomous, supported by a team available when needed.

Key Duties

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your delivery van, trays, and work area to ensure all orders arrive in perfect condition.
• Load the vehicle safely and perform pre-delivery checks for roadworthiness and reliability.
• Communicate clearly and courteously with customers about any changes to their orders, including substitutions or short-dated items, and facilitate refunds to ensure satisfaction.
• Deliver orders promptly within designated time slots, providing warm and respectful customer service at the doorstep.

Candidate Requirements

• Cultivate strong team relationships to promote a positive working environment and enhance service quality.
• Demonstrate a friendly and welcoming demeanor towards customers and colleagues alike.
• Adapt quickly and positively to changes in customer needs and work conditions.
• Possess a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving license (full or automatic) held for at least 12 months with no more than three penalty points.
