Responsibilities
- Master utility locating methods, safety standards, and equipment operation through training.
- Gain knowledge of local utility systems and regulatory frameworks.
- Collaborate with experienced professionals to accurately mark underground utilities.
- Use specialized locating devices effectively to perform utility detection.
- Record and document findings with digital mapping tools.
- Work outdoors under various weather conditions.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States for the employer.
- Hold a High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work background.
- Possess a valid State driver's license (excluding provisional licenses) with a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
Physical Demands
- Work independently in isolated areas and perform tasks requiring arm elevation above shoulder height.
- Operate vehicles and perform fine motor skills, including keyboard and mouse use.
- Bend, stoop, stand, walk, and lift objects up to 55 pounds as part of daily duties.
- Occasionally use ladders, work in confined spaces, and climb stairs.
