About the Role

This full-time Senior Software Engineer position located in Sydney's central business district offers a competitive remuneration package between $180,000 to $200,000. The role focuses on developing high-performance fintech exchange products across cryptocurrency and FX markets. You'll work in a dynamic environment building digital customer-facing solutions with a strong emphasis on both backend and frontend technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain features across the customer-facing platform, including website functionality, onboarding processes, account creation, promotions, and authentication workflows.
• Implement backend APIs and microservices utilizing C# and .NET frameworks.
• Create intuitive and modern frontend user interfaces using React.js along with TypeScript.
• Own features end-to-end, from solution architecture through development, deployment, and ongoing production support.
• Contribute actively to architectural planning and technical direction within the engineering team.
• Produce clean, maintainable, testable code and perform rigorous code reviews to uphold engineering standards.
• Enhance frontend application performance, accessibility compliance, SEO optimization, and overall user experience.
• Develop and support multi-region and multi-language product functionalities, incorporating internationalization (i18n), localization (l10n), and routing strategies.
• Proactively identify and address potential performance, reliability, and quality challenges.
• Collaborate closely with product, marketing, and commercial teams to deliver impactful technology that drives customer acquisition and business growth.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Proven professional experience in backend development using C# and .NET technologies.
• Hands-on expertise in building frontend applications with React.js and TypeScript.
• Track record of delivering consumer-facing digital products.
• Strong experience creating and managing APIs and backend services.
• Familiarity with headless content management systems and content-driven architecture design.
• Deep understanding of scalable and maintainable frontend architectural patterns.
• Experience building products serving multiple regions and supporting several languages simultaneously.
• Knowledge of internationalization (i18n), localization (l10n), and multilingual routing implementations.
• Advanced comprehension of technical SEO aspects such as crawlability, structured data, and Core Web Vitals metrics.
• Sound engineering judgment related to handling edge cases, failure scenarios, testing, and maintainability.
• Keen attention to frontend quality factors including usability and conversion optimization beyond functional correctness.
