QA Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated QA Engineer to join our team, focused on ensuring the quality of mobile applications and backend APIs. This role involves close collaboration with product, development, and other teams to conduct manual and automated testing, track defects, and uphold release quality across functional, stability, performance, and data accuracy aspects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans for mobile apps and APIs.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Create and maintain test cases based on product and technical requirements.
• Conduct testing for Android and iOS platforms.
• Execute API testing to validate logic, data integrity, and error handling.
• Develop and upkeep automated tests using tools like Appium and PyTest.
• Collaborate with CI/CD processes to enhance automation coverage.
• Participate in performance and stress testing to identify system bottlenecks and stability issues.
• Report, track, and verify bugs while coordinating with developers to resolve issues.
• Maintain comprehensive QA documentation including test results and test scripts.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.
• At least 2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Proven expertise in mobile app testing.
• Experience with API testing methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing techniques.
• Familiarity with Agile development workflows.
• Understanding of Python programming.
• Proficient in Appium and PyTest automation tools.
• Knowledgeable in Android and iOS testing environments.
• Basic familiarity with Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively in a team setting.
• Fluent in Mandarin for daily communication.
• Willingness and ability to work full-time following UAE time zone (GST/UTC+4).

Additional Plus Points

• Experience in Fintech or financial services industry.
• Familiarity with financial trading or payment systems.
• Background in security testing.
• Experience using performance testing tools such as JMeter.
• Exposure to cloud testing environments.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and Terraform.
• ISTQB certification is advantageous.

Work Arrangement and Communication

• Fully remote with distributed team cooperation.
• Work schedule aligned with UAE time zone.
• Daily communication conducted in both Mandarin and English.
