Role Overview
The Pricing Manager will drive the development and execution of pricing strategies across the Lawfront group, aiming to maximize profitability and business growth. This role entails analyzing market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behaviors to establish competitive pricing for the services offered by Lawfront.
Collaboration is key, with close engagements expected alongside the Pricing Champion (a managing partner), finance, marketing, and regional managers to align pricing strategies with Lawfront’s overall business goals.
Moreover, the Pricing Manager will foster a strong pricing culture within the affiliated firms by promoting confident and effective pricing practices among fee earners.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a comprehensive overview of hourly and menu pricing across all firms in the group.
- Perform pricing and profitability analyses to inform senior management recommendations.
- Study market conditions, competitors’ pricing, and customer dynamics to set competitive prices.
- Continuously monitor and revise pricing strategies to reflect market and business needs.
- Develop pricing models and decision-support tools.
- Ensure adherence to pricing policies and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate external pricing training and offer direct support to fee-earning teams on pricing tactics and tools.
- Mentor and encourage fee earners to uphold confident pricing behaviors.
- Communicate advantages of confident pricing and share best practices regularly.
- Advise management on pricing strategies to support informed decisions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or closely related discipline.
- Professional certification in pricing or a related area is advantageous.
- Experience with services pricing, preferably in legal or other professional services, is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
- Proficiency with pricing software and analytical tools.
- Knowledge of market research methodologies and data analysis techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation competence.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
