Job Overview

Join a dynamic team as a senior engineer specializing in execution systems, focusing on developing and optimizing AVEVA PI Historian based data solutions that enhance manufacturing and supply chain operations. This role supports a hybrid work environment and involves collaborating with multiple cross-functional groups to ensure real-time data reliability, operational visibility, and ongoing improvements for a global enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain manufacturing data infrastructure including systems for data acquisition and storage.
  • Create and implement effective strategies to capture real-time manufacturing data from a variety of sources such as process equipment, instruments, IoT devices, and control systems like MES, BMS, DCS, and OEM platforms.
  • Develop and update data models, templates, and calculations within the AVEVA PI system to facilitate manufacturing analytics and reporting needs.
  • Partner with teams across the organization to identify data requirements and develop suitable data solutions.
  • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data by establishing and monitoring quality control and validation processes.
  • Work with the Automation Infrastructure team to oversee system updates, patches, and performance tuning for the AVEVA PI platform.
  • Deliver technical support and training for end users on data acquisition tools, AVEVA PI functionalities, and data visualization solutions.
  • Keep informed on industry advancements, emerging technologies, and compliance mandates governing data engineering and manufacturing software.
  • Contribute proactively to continuous improvement efforts by identifying ways to optimize data management workflows, system efficiency, and user experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Significant experience working with AVEVA PI systems, preferably within pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical production processes, including batch processing, equipment automation, and data collection systems.
  • Solid knowledge of data engineering principles, data integration techniques, and best practices in data management.
  • Capability to multitask effectively and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related fields.
  • Formal training on the PI system is an advantage.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Experience using data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, SQL, and scripting.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards like FDA and GMP concerning data integrity and computerized system validation.
  • Experience with data operations tools such as Ignition and Highbyte.
