Position Overview
We are seeking a Pedestrian/Mapping Operator to join our team immediately in Munich, Germany. This role involves carrying a backpack-mounted pedestrian camera weighing 20-23 kg along designated routes to capture images, videos, and mapping information. The recording device activates automatically when the route begins. This is a physically demanding, field-based position with significant outdoor work and travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate pedestrian camera equipment to collect visual and mapping data.
- Walk assigned routes daily while carrying equipment.
- Adhere to all safety and security guidelines.
- Resolve basic technical issues related to hardware and software.
- Maintain professionalism with careful attention to detail.
- Follow operational instructions and report unresolved problems appropriately.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a valid driving license.
- Physical capability to carry backpack equipment weighing between 20-23 kg.
- Availability for a 40-hour work week, encompassing 8 hours per day, 5 days weekly.
- Ability to walk 10 to 12 kilometers each day.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time, including overnight stays away from home.
- Basic technical proficiency with Android devices.
- Good command of English for communication.
