Murex MLC (Limit Controller) Specialist

Job Overview

We seek a seasoned Murex expert with a robust focus on the MLC (Limit Controller) component to bolster enterprise risk management and track limits effectively. The role involves configuring, maintaining, and improving the MLC module on the Murex platform, partnering closely with risk, trading, and IT departments.

Key Duties

• Set up and maintain the Murex MLC module for establishing limits, monitoring activities, and managing breaches.
• Engage in enterprise risk management tasks, including Value at Risk (VaR) and limit frameworks within Murex.
• Investigate and address issues concerning limit computations, aggregation, and usage across various desks and portfolios.
• Collaborate with risk and trading stakeholders to collect needs and convert them into functional MLC setups.
• Assist in testing phases, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and resolve any production issues tied to MLC.
• Work with cross-team groups during Murex platform upgrades and improvements related to MLC.

Essential Qualifications

• Over seven years' experience working with Murex, with in-depth practical knowledge of the MLC module.
• Strong grasp of enterprise risk management principles such as VaR, limits setting, and exposure tracking.
• Understanding of trade lifecycle processes and multiple asset classes including FX, Rates, Fixed Income, and Derivatives.
• Proficiency in SQL/Sybase for carrying out data analysis and troubleshooting tasks.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to engage with stakeholders effectively.

Desirable Experience

• Involvement in Murex upgrades or migrations specifically impacting the MLC module.
• Familiarity with other Murex risk modules such as VAR and MPC.
