Job description

Role Overview

Seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a prestigious 5-star hotel or resort in Doha, Qatar. The role involves overseeing daily maintenance operations, ensuring all hotel systems function optimally, and coordinating efforts to enhance the guest experience.

Key Duties

  • Oversee and allocate daily maintenance activities, tracking the progress and completion of all work orders.
  • Manage routine preventive maintenance programs and conduct regular inspections of equipment.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the hotel's electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC installations.
  • Diagnose technical faults, coordinate necessary repairs, and oversee work by external contractors and vendors.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety regulations, and building codes.
  • Support budgeting processes related to maintenance operations including materials and tool procurement.
  • Collaborate closely with hotel management to minimize system downtime, thereby improving overall guest satisfaction.
  • Be adaptable to flexible working hours as required by the role.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven leadership ability with strong supervisory skills.
  • Practical experience in hotel or general maintenance environments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills for troubleshooting and resolving issues effectively.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols, building codes, and maintenance best practices.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documents.
  • Possession of a technical diploma or certification in Maintenance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience within hotel or hospitality maintenance is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and coordination capabilities.
