Knowledge Management Specialist

Overview and Responsibilities

The Knowledge Management Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the translation of scientific research, specialized reports, case studies, and various publications, coordinating effectively with relevant organizational units. This role oversees the design, production, printing, and precise distribution of knowledge content in all formats including print, digital, audio, and visual media.

Additional duties involve developing and managing publishing and distribution plans to ensure the institution's publications reach targeted communities and entities within the Arab and Islamic world, conducting impact studies to evaluate community benefit from these publications, and gathering feedback for continuous improvement.

The specialist manages participation in book fairs, translation and publishing events, and maintains a dedicated database for translation and publishing programs for future reference. Proposals to improve these knowledge content initiatives are regularly developed and implemented.

Digital Knowledge Center and Reporting

Responsibility also includes managing the digital knowledge center content, keeping it updated and enriched with relevant knowledge to meet the needs of the institution’s stakeholders while aligning with institutional goals.

Periodic reports are prepared covering performance indicators, research initiatives, and recommendations. The specialist supervises training programs and lectures aimed at fostering research and development skills culture within companies and conducts knowledge transfer sessions.

Research and Intellectual Property Support

Preparation of reports on knowledge research and needed enhancement plans is part of the role. Strategic support and linkage via legal expertise in intellectual property protect researchers during intellectual property registrations associated with research processes.

Efforts are made to encourage researchers towards expansion of thinking and innovation, and the specialist leads and develops frameworks for the Research and Development Center of the institution in collaboration with local and global partners.

Additionally, the role includes preparing and supervising policies and procedures related to research and development and delivering awareness programs concerning these policies.
