Security Analyst

Position Overview

ThreatSpike seeks to expand its Security Operations Centre team by recruiting Security Analysts located in Hawaii or Singapore. Candidates must have legal authorization to work in their chosen location as this role does not offer visa sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Level 1 SOC duties including analyzing client emails to detect phishing attempts and scams, and conducting initial incident triage.
• Execute Level 2 SOC tasks by investigating severe security incidents, managing client support tickets, and undertaking more detailed analyses.
• Assist digital forensics and incident response efforts.
• Collaborate with the software development team to enhance detection heuristics.
• Conduct threat intelligence gathering and independent research on security matters.

Candidate Profile

• Possession of a degree with high academic standing in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or similar fields.
• Strong foundational knowledge in operating systems, computer networking, communication protocols, scripting languages, and cloud infrastructure technologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a genuine interest in cybersecurity.
• Capacity to handle multiple investigations and client tickets concurrently.
• Confident communication skills, capable of leading discussions with internal teams and clients.
