Position Overview
CGI is recruiting a seasoned IT Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, budget oversight, and successful delivery of multiple technology projects within a large enterprise setting. This role requires autonomy balanced with collaboration among cross-functional teams and actively contributing to the organization’s ongoing Agile transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, monitoring, and delivery of multiple IT projects, ensuring alignment with company goals, schedules, scopes, and financial plans.
- Work closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to set project priorities, identify resource needs and dependencies, and create delivery strategies.
- Oversee project financials including budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- Develop and manage resource plans to optimize budget use and resource allocation.
- Communicate project status, financial health, risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans clearly to executive leaders.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, governance, progress reporting, and tracking throughout the project lifespan.
- Manage both application development and infrastructure projects through appropriate Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar platforms for backlog management, delivery tracking, project setup, and story-point estimation.
- Assist with the Agile transformation by occasionally performing Scrum Master duties such as facilitating daily stand-ups and other Agile ceremonies.
- Identify and resolve delivery challenges proactively while independently managing details and priorities.
Required Qualifications
- 7 to 10+ years managing IT projects within enterprise environments.
- Proven leadership on application development and infrastructure projects, with strong SDLC knowledge.
- Expertise in project financial management, including budget creation, resource planning, forecasting, reconciliation, variance analysis, and reporting.
- Understanding of CapEx, OpEx, and depreciation.
- Experience delivering executive-level stakeholder communications and maintaining alignment.
- Competence in reporting significant financial metrics, project risks, issues, and mitigation to executives.
- Proficiency with project management tools like Azure DevOps (ADO), PPM platforms, and ServiceNow, including backlog and story point management.
- Working knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with experience supporting Agile transitions and Scrum Master responsibilities.
- Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; excellent communication, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, curiosity, and a self-motivated mindset.
Preferred Assets
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps.
- Technical background with prior software development experience.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM).
- Experience using Workday.
Compensation
Estimated pay for this position ranges between $75,000 and $145,000 per year based on skill level, location, experience, training, and certifications. Individual compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
