Job Summary
The Interaction/UX Designer will focus on crafting product experiences that elevate user satisfaction. This role is within an agile team creating products tailored for the Financial Industry and Monetary Authority officers related to financial supervision.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform user research to uncover users’ objectives, behaviors, and needs.
- Develop user models and other relevant domain models from research insights.
- Create context scenarios and narrative descriptions outlining ideal user experiences desired by the team.
- Specify product/system features and requirements that facilitate users' goals and tasks, outlining how effective interactions should function.
- Design the overall system structure, behavior, information flow, and workflows.
- Conduct evaluative research to test and refine the product, ensuring designs enable users to meet goals and complete tasks.
- Develop empathy towards users to improve design quality.
Qualifications and Skills
- Collaborative team player with creative and strategic thinking abilities.
- Effective communicator—both presenting ideas and listening.
- Open-minded, exploratory, and adaptable attitude.
- Capable of making design decisions that balance user desirability, business viability, and technical feasibility.
- Strong understanding of underlying technologies and mediums (e.g. web browser display mechanisms); coding skills are a plus.
- Portfolio showcasing successful digital projects currently in use.
- Experience developing eServices targeted at public users is preferred.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping software such as Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD).
- Educational background in a design-related field such as Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, HCI, or equivalent practical experience.
