Full Stack Engineer

Role Overview

Vantage is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join their Product Development Team. This new position involves building and maintaining scalable, high-performance systems spanning the full technology stack. The engineer will collaborate closely with engineering peers and product managers to deliver user-centered, robust features enhancing the platform's core functionality. The role requires passion for impactful software and high technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop maintainable, high-performing code ensuring reliable feature delivery that increases product value and user satisfaction.
• Maintain comprehensive test coverage to ensure quality code and stable product experiences.
• Engage in architectural discussions and solution design to maintain scalable, effective product structures.
• Clearly document both new and existing features to facilitate team alignment and future evolution.
• Partner closely with engineering, UX, and product teams to craft cohesive, user-focused solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Manage features throughout their lifecycle from design, deployment to post-release support.
• Be accountable for the accuracy and reliability of delivered code.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A minimum of three years' experience working on both back-end and front-end aspects of SaaS products.
• Proficient in JavaScript and commonly used frameworks such as React.
• Skilled in designing and implementing unit and integration tests utilizing tools like pytest, jest, and React Testing Library.
• Experience handling large data sets.
• Adept at monitoring application performance, debugging, and log analysis.
• Familiar with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and/or AWS.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering and product teams.

Preferred Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
• Background or experience in the Advertising Technology (AdTech) sector.
• Proficiency with Python and Django, including Django REST Framework.
• Experience with TypeScript, React, and Redux.

Additional Information

• Selected candidates must successfully pass a criminal background check during the final hiring stages.
• Compensation for this role ranges from CAD 115,000 to 145,000 annually.
