Job description
Overview
Join our pharmacy team as a Dispenser, playing an essential role in the safe and effective delivery of pharmacy services within a retail store environment. Engage with patients by understanding their needs and providing vital support to pharmacists and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescriptions while ensuring safe medication supply through ordering, labelling, endorsing, and prescription collection.
- Collaborate with store healthcare professionals to manage and deliver pharmacy services efficiently.
- Offer medicine-related advice to patients and refer complex queries to the Pharmacist as necessary.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures to maintain safety and legal compliance in dispensing.
- Stay informed on new store innovations and comply with operational standards.
- Assist patients in managing prescriptions, promoting medication adherence, and minimizing waste through reliable repeat services.
- Work with emerging in-store technologies to improve dispensing processes and patient safety.
Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 or equivalent, or currently progressing with at least the first year of an MPharm degree.
- Possess valid UK work authorization; this position does not sponsor Skilled Worker Visas.
- Prior community pharmacy experience is advantageous.
