Job description

Overview

Join our pharmacy team as a Dispenser, playing an essential role in the safe and effective delivery of pharmacy services within a retail store environment. Engage with patients by understanding their needs and providing vital support to pharmacists and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately dispense prescriptions while ensuring safe medication supply through ordering, labelling, endorsing, and prescription collection.
  • Collaborate with store healthcare professionals to manage and deliver pharmacy services efficiently.
  • Offer medicine-related advice to patients and refer complex queries to the Pharmacist as necessary.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures to maintain safety and legal compliance in dispensing.
  • Stay informed on new store innovations and comply with operational standards.
  • Assist patients in managing prescriptions, promoting medication adherence, and minimizing waste through reliable repeat services.
  • Work with emerging in-store technologies to improve dispensing processes and patient safety.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Completion of the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 or equivalent, or currently progressing with at least the first year of an MPharm degree.
  • Possess valid UK work authorization; this position does not sponsor Skilled Worker Visas.
  • Prior community pharmacy experience is advantageous.

This position is store-based in the UK; remote applications or candidates without appropriate UK qualifications and right to work status will not proceed.
